Custom Insoles
Well made insoles are the foundation of comfort and stability in a ski boot. They provide correct alignment through the ankle and foot, as well as dispersing pressure evenly over the underside of the foot.
The Boot Mechanic makes fully custom insoles that provide stability, alignment and comfort.
If needed molding of insoles can be be done along side general boot fitting in the 1.5 hr In-Person appointment. Or a stand alone 1hr Custom Insole Appontment can be made if no other boot work is required.
The Boot Mechanic only uses BD 3D POWER Custom Insoles due to the high level of support, longevity, and moldability of the materials.
All skiers will benefit from a well made custom insole
Used by ski tourers, or skiers who are on their feet for extended periods of time
Help people with ongoing pain in the foot, ankles, knees or hips
Used by performance skiers looking to maximize their control
Great for people looking for maximum comfort
Heated Insoles
Battery powered heating elements can be added to insoles. These provide controllable heat to the ball of the foot and toes, warming up the furthest extremities in even the coldest weather. The Boot Mechanic has chosen this system over heated socks due to the ability to target the blood lines in the toes and ball of foot more effectively. Both systems create the same heat but focusing the BTUs in a smaller, more effective area means less power is needed to warm the foot. Or for people with circulation issues full power can be directed where it is needed most, the toes.
Help people who suffer from poor circulation to the extremeties (Raynaud’s)
For those who ski in very cold climates
Used by instructors, or people who stand in snow for prolonged periods
Help anyone looking for toasy feet, as they can be put in any type of footwear that have an insole
